1. What is the difference between the Guardian & Sentry systems?
   A: The Guardian system digitally controls and displays the humidity level in your cabinet, allowing you to adjust the humidity exactly to your preferred level, while the Sentry system is accurate to within 5% and features analog humidity control and an independent digital hygrometer.

2. Can I get the Climatech technology in a G-2000-style display cabinet?
   A: No. Climatech temperature and humidity control is specific to cabinet size and needs to be insulated.

3. What is the difference between the Climatech 00 on the Climatech 01 series?
   A: The design elements of the cabinet differ. The 00 model has a New England Craftsman style and the 01 model is a more traditional style, but the insides are the same for both types of cigar cabinet. Please see the Climatech page of our website for examples

4. How long will it take to get my humidor?
   A: The delivery time on a humidor depends upon our work volume and the level of detail going into your cabinet. Depending on what you've ordered, delivery is usually between four to six weeks.

5. What is the difference between the Reliance 1000 and the Guardian 1000?
   A: The Reliance 1000 is more detailed than the Guardian 1000. The Reliance has rounded edges, the drawer goes on a wooden slide and it has a New England style design. The Guardian is simpler and has full overlay door and drawer. The Reliance's door and drawer partially set into the openings leaving some face frame showing.

6. Why aren't humidors made of Spanish Cedar both on the inside and the outside?
   A: Spanish Cedar, while great for cigars is not a great cabinet wood. This is why we use Spanish Cedar in all of our cigar drawers and bins, but use Honduran Mahogany, a stronger, more consistent and beautiful wood to make the cabinets.

7. Are all of your humidors lined with Cedar? Do you sell solid Mahogany humidors?
   A: We use a combination of Honduran Mahogany and Spanish Cedar in our cigar cabinets.  For loose cigar drawers and bins we use Spanish Cedar.  On the rest of the humidor we use Mahogany (a much higher quality, furniture-grade wood) that can hold the moisture just as well as Spanish Cedar.

8. I recently purchased a Guardian humidification system. Can that be built into the floor or wall of the cabinet that I am building? If so which vents need to be open into the cabinet?
   A: You can build our humidification systems into cabinets as long as you give the system the proper space to transfer air within the cabinet. The systems are closed loop and do not require venting to the outside. The instructions for the systems outline the installation criteria.

9. Do any of your humidors have temperature regulators as well as humidity systems within?
   A: We do have cigar cabinets with both humidification and temperature control.  They are called Climatech Cigar Cabinets.  They feature the high-quality workmanship of our cabinetmakers and the most sophisticated climate control system ever created for the preservation of cigars. Inside the insulated, heirloom-quality cabinet, the Climatech system constantly monitors and controls the humidity level, while the computer-controlled, thermo-electric assemblies control the cabinet's interior temperature to within 2% of your desired setting.

10. Does the Sentry 10 have temperature control?  If not, what is the least expensive unit with temperature control?

11. Does an all Cedar humidor impart excessive Cedar aroma to cigars?
    A: The proper species of Cedar to use in a humidor is Spanish Cedar.  Spanish Cedar has a wonderful smell that does blend with and enhance the taste of the cigars, but we suggest that Spanish Cedar only be used on the interior of your humidor for lining. A hardwood such as Mahogany is the best wood to use for the exterior of your humidor.

12. How do electronic humidification systems compare to passive systems?
    A: In general, electronic systems are superior to passive, Credo-type humidifiers because they require less maintenance and provide more stable humidity. However, there are some electronic systems on the market that are inferior to good passive systems and simply don't perform to the manufacturer's specifications. A good quality electronic system is a must for the cigar smoker seeking to age and preserve cigars over a period of months and years.
    
    Among the desirable features to look for in electronic systems:
    
    •  A large water reservoir with a minimum 30 day supply
    •  Time-to-fill water level indicators
    •  An operating range no larger than 5%.
    •  Simple and accurate set point adjustment

13. What color finishes do your cigar humidors come in?
